My name is Midonin. I enjoy anime, and I enjoy analyzing it. Not in the usual way, however. Looking for meaning in drama and seriousness is easy. I look for meaning in the lighthearted, the innocent and the comedic. Just because a work isn’t taking itself seriously doesn’t mean I can’t take it seriously. I’m also interested in the effects fan culture has on a series, and how it can shape one’s opinion of a work. Fan art, fan fic, fan videos, all these apocrypha are as crucial to a work as the main body of the work. I have a Tumblr that I post short pieces on, but deeper analysis will be covered here. This is a traveler’s log, where the journey is more important than the destination.

  1. Until I learn moonrunes, or till subs catch up, I won’t really be able to follow your posts. But as someone who’s finished the first season of PriPara, I can say it takes a special kind of crazy to be doing episodics of the show, I mean that in the best way possible.
